Outdoors Lantern Workshop: The Return of a Classic with a Twist! (8 fév)
Welcome to the return of a beloved classic! For those new to my website, here's a little story about how my creative journey began. Ten years ago, I decided to organize creative workshops as an escape from my 9-to-5 job, seeking a more hands-on and imaginative outlet. This led to a journey beyond my wildest dreams. The Lantern Workshop was one of my first series, designed to bring color and clean shapes into your home. Many of you have asked for its return, and I'm excited to deliver—with a twist! This time, we will create lanterns suitable for outdoor use.
Inspired by my outdoor installation "Fantasie #1," an original multisensory lantern experience first presented in Repentigny, this workshop will help you create a unique lantern for your garden, terrace, or any outdoor space.
What to Expect:
Introduction to Folding: Learn the fundamentals of folding through small exercises to get your hands ready.
Pattern Creation: Design and illustrate your lantern to make it unique and fun.
Lantern Assembly: Fold and finish a complete lantern, ready to hang.
Materials:
Polypropylene material (Yupo) for waterproof lanterns
Acrylic paint
All necessary tools and supplies
Feel free to bring a notebook for taking notes.
Join me in my workshop for an afternoon dedicated to creation, learning, and the free exploration of your imagination.
