Wearable Art
“Colours to Dive In” is a collaborative project between photographer Yannis Davy Guibinga and paper sculptor Pauline Loctin. Through a merging of both the photography and paper sculpting medium, the artists aim to create an abstract and otherworldly universe in which paper and colours are the main and central elements.
Separated in different chapters, the series aims to show the range of paper as a tool to construct worlds and objects, serving alternatively as a headpiece in one chapter of the series to a dress in the next. Inspired by the social significance of colours in contemporary societies, “Colours To Dive In” explores the union of colours in an abstract universe created through the use and the bending of paper.

Lotus flower bomb
“Lotus Flower Bomb” is the first installation in a series of collaborations between paper sculptor Pauline Loctin and photographer Yannis Davy Guibinga. In this chapter, paper is used as both headpiece and accessory, adorning the head of the subject and therefore becoming the central element of the image.

NDOSSI
“NDOSSI” (meaning “the dream” in the punu language of Gabon) is the second installation of the “Colours To Dive In” series. In this chapter, paper is used as both clothing for the subjects and main element used to construct the world they are surrounded by.
ILLUMINATIONS
Inspired by the colours of the moon, the sun and the stars, “ILLUMINATIONS” is the third installation from the “Colours to Dive In” series.
BLUE DREAM
Inspired by the colours of water and the underwater world, BLUE DREAM uses paper simultaneously as clothing, accessory and set piece for the subject.
Hibiscus
Inspired by the colours of flowers and plants, the last chapter of the “Colours To Dive In” series sees paper primarily used as a headpiece adorning the subject both on and around her head.
