Public Art Installation: "Coral"
Eaton Center Montreal

Through this installation at the Eaton Center in Montreal, Pauline Loctin reaffirms her commitment to protecting natural environments. With Coral, a three-dimensional work, she expresses her sensitivity to the changes in our societies, creating a sculptural piece that delivers a harmonious yet urgent message: nature is dying; it must be protected and nurtured, like all forms of life.

From day to night, the installation transforms, shifting colors and ambiance from bright and luminous to shadowy and mysterious. This dynamic interplay of light and shadow invites viewers to pause and reflect, captivating passersby and offering a moment of stillness amid the bustle of the city.

With Coral, Pauline highlights the fragility of the natural environment and its limits in the face of resource destruction and the loss of life forms. Through the medium of paper and a profound exploration of color, she draws attention to the unique biodiversity of coral reefs around the world, which serve as vital protectors of marine species and ecosystems.
